Visa Requirement
Uganda is situated in East Africa with a total country population of 37.58 million. The capital city is Kampala, and is also the commercial capital bordering Lake Victoria, Africa’s largest lake. Tourism in Uganda is focused on country’s landscape and wildlife. Tourist visas are issued upon arrival to visa exempt passport holders, and are valid for a period up to 90 days. Visa restricted passport holders need to apply for their tourist visa at the relevant Ugandan mission in their country of origin or residence, or they can apply using the Uganda E-Immigration System, which is the online portal for lodging applications. Tourist Visas in Uganda are single entry only.
Visa Information and requirements:
1) All visa prone nationalities are required to obtain Uganda visas to facilitate their entry into the country. Uganda visas can be obtained at Uganda missions/embassies/High commissions abroad or on arrival at the ports of entry.
2) All travellers to Uganda must have a valid Yellow Fever Immunisation card (must have received yellow fever vaccination). Hepatitis A and B, Meningitis, and typhoid are recommended vaccinations. Entry into or exit from Uganda should be made only through gazetted ports of entry/exit.
